Zoeva Brush Review
On byThis somewhat huge haul was done a couple of months back. I became hearing a lot of good stuff about their brushes therefore I boldly did a large haul from a company I never picked up anything from before. Thankfully wasn’t a flop. Zoeva is a cosmetics company that does makeup and brushes. They are the lower end of the mid-range as the price will go much.
They are affordable nonetheless they are not dirt and grime cheap. Definitely a good range to start out with unless you have a brush collection. One up is 227 Soft Definer Attention Clean First. I really like my MAC 217, and because the new MAC 217s don’t measure up to old ones, I am on a constant search for a brush that functions similarly.
While 227 is nice, it is somewhat different from MAC 217. It is fluffier and not as tapered. It mixes well but isn’t too directional. 227s fluffiness is comparable to Hakuhodo J5523 but again, much less tapered. This brush basically fails to be MAC 217 in ways that a lot of “dupes” neglect to be MAC 217. Does that makes it a dupe?
Lol. The clean is nice, and gentle, but it’s not too delicate to provide it inadequate for blending. I got 228 Crease Brush also. I wanted a fluffy blending brush I could blend in a more blown-out fashion or a soft wash of color. I don’t exactly have an identical brush to compare it to since I don’t do blow out blending.
For me, it generally does not work the best for excellent heavy duty blending like eliminating harsh ends of dark outside a color but it is effective blending changeover color or blending colors along. Not, the softest but it isn’t scratchy either. Surprisingly I’ve got a lot of use out of 225 Eye Blender.
I purchased it to execute a precise mixing or crease focus on my small eye. Again, this brush also lacks the snap and denseness to do heavy-duty blending but it can work with “regular” blending. What I have already been really liking this for is color lay out. 225 lay down soft color on the lid and crease evenly.
As someone who doesn’t really like super dark crease shading, 225 has been fantastic. I LOVE MAC 239. It’s an only clean I’ve a double of. It’s a perfect shade for me. Zoeva 234 smokey shades clean looked similar therefore I must buy it. Zoeva 234 virtually work the same. It isn’t as dense, and stiff in the wide part of the brush as MAC 239 but very very similar. Zoeva 234 looks more rounded in comparison to MAC 239 in the picture but there’s a whole lot variance in the MAC 239s. I have a tendency to pick out more rectangular ones just.

If you like MAC 239 and want multiples of it, check out Zoeva 234 in the interest of saving money. I also have Bobbi Brown Touch Up clean as MAC 239 dupe but Zoeva 234 is softer. That particular Bobbi Brown clean is pokey pokey. Next up is Zoeva 230 Pencil Brush. Immediately after I wash/shape it, it comes to a precise point.
After a couple of uses and location cleaning, it fluffs up a little and loses the true point. It functions less just like a pencil brush and similar to a little laydown brush for me. Bristles are smooth to implement head on enough. Both of these are my favorites probably. 110 Face Shape Brush and 142 Concealer Buffer Brush. Both are dense artificial brushes.
