The Train To Hunt Challenge was born in 2011 and designed to give hunters, of the entire year not only a reason to teach in the first parts, but to give them a test ground because of their training program. It is unlike any event you have ever done and will help you prepare for the ultimate goal, the hunting season. Train to Hunt Challenge is a competition where individuals compete in a number of different exercises that mixes physical fitness and hunting.
When you come to a Train To Hunt Challenge event, you will soon find that it is a supportive environment full of great staff and likeminded competition. Everyone there, of age regardless, gender, or fitness level are there because they love the outdoors, archery, and want to check themselves. Binos and rangefinders CAN BE USED on both the challenge/MTN course and the 3D course. Must carry arrows in a bow quiver, or pack only. You will be checking in between 6:30am and 8am at which time you will be picking right up your competitor packets that contain your competition t shirt, 3D score card.

Next, you will be participating in an obligatory competition meeting where the event director will be welcoming you, the day can look like giving you a layout of what, as well as the details of the task Mountain and Course Course. There is plenty of your time for questions and the directors can make sure that many people are clear about what to do, when to do it, and how each event will all be scored. 1-2 kilometers depending on surfaces long.
Competitors will take two animal 3D targets along the way. This is how long it takes you from begin to finish to complete the task Course and MTN Course. THE VERY BEST two scores on each team will count the number toward the overall team score in each event. Teams of two will combine the average person efforts of both members to come up with the team totals for each event and the Overall event total.
Teams of three will have the lowest score in each event removed from the total team totals for every event. Towards the end of your fourth shot you will be placed on backpack packed with department appropriate weight and complete the Mountain portion of the task Course. This program will be around 1-1.5 miles and can require you to stop and shoot two designated targets.
