On byI finally got some hands on time to play with the top Hub and my impressions have been adjusted considerably. As somebody who works together with Sync & Skype for Business constantly I was thinking in conditions of “this is a Lync Room System” substitution (when, in fact, Microsoft made no such claim.

These shortcuts can strengthen the “It’s an area System” misunderstanding but once more, this device is really about collaboration before a large touchscreen with the added capability to do Skype for Business meetings & calls.
A few things about the Skype for Business software that works on the Surface Hub. First, it is a Skype for Business Universal application written specifically for the Surface Hub. In addition, it has a unique feature not in the typical or Windows Store Skype for Business client which is it can switch between two cameras automatically. The Surface Hub has two cams on the still left and right so that as you move around in front of the Surface Hub it’ll identify which is the best camera and automatically change to it.
